Driving

Carriage driving is a very wide-ranging activity: it varies from the elegance of a traditional turnout to the excitement of scurry driving and horse driving trials. The British Driving Society (BDS) provides help and advice, including a panel of qualified instructors. And along with local harness clubs throughout the country, the BDS organises both fun and serious events. There are also "driving for the disabled" groups, operating within the Riding for the Disabled scheme. For more information about carriage driving in the UK:
